“One can become rich by working for someone else, however, one can become wealthy only when one does something on their own” – for some reason, this quote as said by one of my mentor has stuck with me. Wealth actually can mean, money, knowledge, experience or anything else that enriches one’s life. Well, “to do something on your own”, this is definitely easier said than done.

Patience, perseverance, ability to tolerate pain and insults are some of the qualities I believe one must possess to successfully take the journey of creating something new. While some of these qualities can be cultivated and learnt during the process, “MOTIVATION” is something that has to be inherent within. This is because, motivation leads to conviction in an idea and in a thought, motivation allows one to push through hardships, motivation allows one to persevere and also teaches one to be patient when things go slow and most importantly motivation allows one to push harder towards a goal even when no one else sees a reason to push.

A true leader is highly motivated, and not just that, they tend to motivate others to become better than what they are. And when you intend to build something of your own, being a true leader is a key and essential part of the equation.

Motivation does not come out of fear, it even does not come out of respect, it only comes out of passion.
